2005 to Present
St Charles Parish Public Schools - General Music, Choir and Guitar at St. Rose Elementary School.

Orleans Parish Schools 1994 - 2005
Teaching General Music in various elementary schools. Presently teaching full time at Dr. Charles R. Drew Elementary, Pre-K through 5th grades. Organized choirs in the following schools: Dr. Charles R. Drew Elementary, New Orleans Free School and Mahalia Jackson. The Dr. Charles R. Drew Choir performs for the CEO's Music Festival each year, every Christmas in "The Celebration in the Oaks," as well as various shopping malls and other public and private functions throughout the city. All aspects of music are covered with a strong emphasis on hands-on experience.

1973 - Present   |  Musician and Songwriter
Presently working with a local band "Good Stuff", performing in local nightclubs and for private functions throughout the New Orleans and Mississippi Gulf Coast areas. Performed with many local and national artists including Bill Haley's Comets, Andy Gibb, and The Coasters. Have composed songs in many styles including Country, Children's, and Chorale. Presently the owner and president of KiddieCorp Music, which is focused on developing children's educational music.

1989 - 1993   |  St. Charles Parish Schools & Archbishop Shaw High School
Taught 7th grade science at Albert Cammon Middle School in St. Rose. Organized a school fair and also received training on cooperative learning. Taught physics and general science to 8th and 9th graders at Shaw High. Also served as Golf Coach for varsity and junior varsity teams. During this period served as counselor during summer camps supervising 8 and 9-year-olds.

1978 - 1988   |  St. Pius Elementary School
Music Director. Started and developed the entire music program for grade Kindergarten through 8th. The program consisted of General Music Classes for each student, a junior chorus for grades 3 - 5, a senior choir for grades 6 - 8, and a special show choir for students in grades 5 - 8. A church group consisting of guitars, singers, rhythm and other instruments was instituted for mass performance and special occasions. Conducted annual Christmas and spring concerts as well as talent shows, musicals and performances for the May Fair. The senior choir earned Superior Awards in both concert and sight reading. Additionally taught a 6th grade science class and a guitar class.

  • 1997 Woodrich Publishing published "My Head's in the Back" (Country Hat)
  • Marsaille Publishing published "Love's Music" and "It's Christmas Once Again"
  • Produced and recorded a four song mini cassette -- "Voices in the Night"
